Early Use of Morphine for Trauma May Offset PTSD

Major Finding: The use of morphine to control pain and anxiety during early resuscitation and trauma care is significantly associated with a reduced risk of developing PTSD later.

Data Source: Observational study of 696 injured Army, Navy, and Marine Corps personnel.
