I was pleased to see the recent examination of the foster care system in CLINICAL PSYCHIATRY NEWS (“Foster Care: Casey Program a Good Model,” Prevention in Action, July 2008, p. 38). But I am also concerned that current approaches to improving the foster care system are somewhat shortsighted.
