Letters

Ira Addes, M.D. (Northampton, Mass.), Earnest Seiler, III, M.D. (Melbourne, Fla.)

I thank Dr. Paul J. Fink for so clearly articulating one of the key concerns I have about our field (“Is psychiatry in danger of losing psychotherapy as a tool?” Fink! Still at Large, September 2008, p. 22). For me, however, this trend toward not providing psychotherapy among psychiatrists already is a crisis that is not being adequately addressed by our leadership. And this crisis threatens to cripple our profession for years to come.
